One is a keen student of Public Policy in the North East and another is an advocate of education & organic farming of North East. But what binds them is their decade long friendship, passion towards organic farming and drive to “enable unemployed youth to become farm & food entrepreneurs and build a peaceful and prosperous North East”
With this burning passion, Deep Jyoti Sonu and his friend, started their entrepreneurial journey to transform farming into a viable and sustainable livelihood in North East India. Farm2Food was founded with the objective of working towards redefining agriculture by promoting organic farming methods among the farmers of North East India. This ensures food security and most importantly saves the farmers from the adverse effects of chemical farming. Farm to Food on one hand creates marketing opportunities for the farmer and on the other hand supports the farmer on farming, plant health and organic agricultural inputs. Thus it is a one stop solution for the farmer working on the forward and backward linkages.
Farm2Food began with a team of committed individuals and experts coming together to set up a model that could offer organic farming training, marketing linkages, and community development in the rural Assam.
Dhriiti has worked closely worked with the duo to re-model their business, organizational and market models, and set up systems and processes for an effective operational strategy. The resulting FSE-ible models has enabled the organization to promote entrepreneurship in farming amongst farmers, women and young people on a large scale.
