Dhriiti is a non-profit organization, working for the past 15 years to provide sustainable entrepreneurship solutions that enable individuals and communities toimprove their quality of life.It works to facilitate an ecosystem that recognises the need to nurture entrepreneurial practicesand subsequently adopt, adapt or create systems to ensure they thrive.Dhriiti inspires individuals and communities to design financially, socially and ecologicallysustainable livelihoods for themselves.

Dhriiti works with women, youth and communities in economic crisis and has reached out to more than 100,000 individuals so far.Dhriiti has been supported by the government, private foundations, corporate bodies and individuals.

The Project

Project Pragati, in its first two phases, aimed to engage with rural women who could benefit from enhanced income using locally available resources. Through arecanut leaf plate production and sales, 30 rural women have been equipped to earn cash income on a regular basis. For most women, this is also their first opportunity to own a business and earn independent income into their own bank accounts. Additionally, a group of 350 women have been trained on raw material collection and hence onboarded onto the value chain of arecanut leaf plate production in the region.

In the next phase, the project would explode from a contained approach of skill enhancement, production and income to a multi-dimensional approach encompassing self-transformation and social transformation.

The Position

Key Responsibilities Include:

I. Project coordination & implementation

a. Manage the overall project ensuring key deliverables are met.
b. Coordinate with field team to generate workplans and key implementation strategies.
c. Coordinate with field team to ensure effective implementation of project activities as per plan.
d. Ensure updating of MIS with information on project implementation.
e. Review progress along with field teams and ensure timely and efficient reporting internally.
f. Ensure tracking system is in place for effective project closure and project documentation/communication is properly done.

II. Strategic Partnerships and Communication

a. Identify & create strategic partnerships with relevant organizations, bodies and individuals;
b. Seek and incorporate synergies with similar initiatives on organisation level;

III. Budget & Finance

a. Develop operational budget for the project.
b. Raise advance requisitions and manage project funds.
c. Ensure project expenses are recorded and maintained as per required formats and reported to the HO accounts team on a timely basis.

Functional Competencies

VI. Technical Expertise

• Sound experience in project coordination and management and in depth knowledge of Results Based Management.
• Proven track record of thematic knowledge and practical experience of implementing projects of similar nature in similar capacities.
• Sound experience in working with multi locational, multicultural teams with extensive use of technology.
• Strong knowledge and experience on entrepreneurship and livelihood and new developments in these areas.

Required Skills & Experience

IX. Education:

• Masters in Rural Management or related fields from a reputed university/institute.

X. Experience:

• A minimum of 2 year’s experience in leading CSR projects in the field of entrepreneurship.
• Additional experience in women centric initiatives will be given preference.

XI. Language Requirements:

• Fluency in English and Assamese is required.

Compensation:

Compensation package will be in the range of 6.50 – 7.20 lacs per annum.
