Aditi Rao is a writer, educator, and dreamer. Being an intrepid traveller, her essays and poetry reflect the stories of travels and her stay in different countries of the world. Passionate about peace, education and working with young people, especially teenagers, Aditi strongly believes in the transformative power of imagination and community.
Tasawwur was founded in 2014 with the firm objective to impact the lives of youth through artistic processes and meaningful cross cultural relationships. Tasawwur is a a unique arts-for-social-change program that works with a diverse group of teenagers in New Delhi, using the literary and performing arts to address important issues of social justice.
Tasawuur uses arts to supports marginalised youth to explore, helping them discover their unique voices and stories. They simultaneously create an atmosphere of care and respect for the voices and stories of others, and ultimately use their collective voice to effect positive change in the world.
In the incubation program of Dhriiti, support is being provided to develop business, organisational and marketing models. Dhriiti is also focussing on bringing out the innate financial, social, and ecological components of Tasawwur, as imagined by Aditi. Aditi aims to youth use literary & performing arts as a tool to educate the youth on important issues of social justice.
