Bendangtila Jamir

Bendangtila started Montessori school to help the young children to give access to school both for well-off children and underprivileged children.  She has been imparting basic education to out-of-school children, drop-outs and also training vulnerable women in income generation programs on pickle-making and traditional jewellery making. Through the program, she is in the process of executing a plan to initiate Montessori school“Aruju”, and make a chain of Montessori schools in Dimapur. So that she can support the underprivileged children consistently in providing basic education enabling them to face life confidently without waiting for the funding.

Through Her&Now, Dhriiti provided guidance toBendangtila on the required knowledge and support in making a business model for the school and also helped in budgeting for project plans, networking for ventures in education like Hummingbird, Aide et Action.

Bandita Patowary is the founder of Pastel Palette, which deals in quality apparels and designer clothes and accessories for kids. The dresses and accessories (flower crowns, headbands etc) are targeted at young girls (1-8 yrs). Her current business revolves around e-commerce. Through Her&Now, Dhriiti enabled Bandita to critical decision making and throughout her journey of launching the products online.

Ayesha is the founder of Turbit dealing in Makers’ space & Virtual Reality Consultancy. It is a collaborative workspace for enabling, making, implementing ideas, creating products, improving skills through various ways and new technologies. Her customer base includes educational Institutes, government Institutes, public and private sectors etc. Through Her&Now, Dhriiti supported Ayesha in legal and financial services, as well as on various ways to leverage social media for customer reach. .

Angel Jajo

Angel is passionate about education. She is the founder of NgaNga TV- an Animated Tangkhul based online kid’s entertainment and educational channel. Tangkhul is an Indigenous Naga tribe of Manipur. Since time immemorial songs and stories which depicts the way of life and history, are passed down to each generation orally and it is left undocumented neither in audio/video or written. The whole idea is to preserve and promote the traditional lullaby and folklores. She has plans on starting Montana Pre-school. Through Her&Now, Dhriiti enabled Angel with business planning and focusing on high quality strategy, and piloting on a structured business model. She was selected for the Women Entrepreneur Program by US Consulate Kolkata and The Global Innovation Lab of the University of Texas, Nexus 2020.

Zenith wants to solve the internet issue faced by the people of Manipur so that there is more employment for the IT engineers as well. She envisions a smart city where people have flawless internet access so that they flourish in corporate jobs and entrepreneurship and there is no unemployment.

Handloom and handicraft had remained under shadows due to lack of proper organisation and large inflows of products from big factories in bulks from other states. Thus, making it hard for indigenous people who work day and night to produce handloom and handicraft products. This gap is bridged  with her venture. Through Her&Now, she participated in a virtual exhibition for CII Hastakari 2020 and has provided assistance to financial and market linkages.
