Premila Devi is working on an idea for natural dye. She attended a training provided by Green Biotech Ecosolutions, Manipur and during which she was introduced to the idea of starting her own enterprise in natural dye making.

Thingbaijam Geetpriya
Geetpriya is a young aspiring agri-preneur. She wants to start her Agri-business in Manipur working with medicinal plants and focus on quality,provide value and good service at the same time. Till now she has procured around 3000 medicinal plants and the business operations is still in an ideation stage.Although she doesn’t have much support from her family, she has a strong urge to provide jobs in the region.

Teresa Chongtham
Teresa wants to start a business on collection of used books and sell them at affordable prices. She wants to start operating the platform in stores and online. According to her, the high prices of books and study materials are often the reason many students drop out and standards are declining. Her idea is to collect used books at a low and discounted rate and give access to students and they will have the option of selling the books again after.

Temuidou Makunga
Temuidou is the founder of Giino Consultancy, which was started in 2018 and recently registered as Private Limited Company in 2020. Apart from the Consultancy, they have 5 training centres spread throughout Manipur. 2 in Chandel, 1 Panve, 1 Ukhrul, 1 Thangmeiban. 70% of the employees are women. They work for skill development and focus on women, dropouts and skilling in unorganized sectors. They are involved in training like plumbing, tiling, electric fitting, painting. Temuidou has an educational background in Psychology and Physiotherapy. She recently got selected as a honorary council member at WICCI India-Germany Business council (Women’s Indian Chamber of commerce & Industry).
She planned on starting a mobile health care service in the Hilly terrain where connectivity is still an issue. This will bridge the gap in Health services without distance barriers. This will benefit doctors, nurses, Lab technicians, drivers and most importantly the villagers who are deprived of quality basic health care facilities. She has initiated partnership talks with the Government bodies and still has a long way to go.

Techi Reshna
Techi has a retail outlet in Arunachal Pradesh, where she sells traditional handloom products. She started the venture at a very young age and has been successfully managing it for 20+ years. She has also adopted technology in whichever manner she could. She does not see herself as an entrepreneur but as a trader. However, she is very determined. She speaks Hindi and Nyishi language.

Sweet Pea Luikham
Sweet Pea is the proprietor of STS store which deals in organic food. She has a home based food processing unit and was selected for Start-up Manipur. She has a strong focus on community development in terms of creating livelihood and replenishing their lands with fruit trees and herbs.

Suzanne Lalnunkimi
A dentist by profession, Dr, Suzannegot into this makeup and skincare business ‘ Nancy Love Skin” when her sister made a few products to curb the unavailability of natural cosmetic products in Mizoram in 2018. The business is named after Dr. Nancy, her sister. Their products range from Facepack, Face mask, Body scrub. They also do private labelling of makeup brushes and false lashes. They have planned on offering more products. They are still operating from home and would like to have their own production unit soon.

Sungdikongro Imchen
Sungdikongro wants to use hydroponics in farming, but it is in the pre-planning stage.
Since people started changing the way they eat and live by focussing more on organic and natural products, she believes that there is a need for more improved and smart farming techniques. She wanted to work on hydroponics so that she can become an advocate for healthy eating and growing healthy greens at the same time.

Sujata Mukhia
Sujata is the founder of Relimai in Kalimpong which is a travel and adventure company piloted in May 2018. Relimai is not just another travel company, and they encourage people to travel as family, inculcating the habit of exploring and respecting the outdoors amongst the children. They also emphasise on preparedness for any adventure their clients are about to take part in. They help them train physically and emotionally. The activities include Trekking, Cycling, Skiing And Tours.
Sujata herself is a Mountaineer, Runner, Cyclist And Skier, and has trekked in Nepal, India, Scotland, climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro in Africa and Mt. Lobuche in Nepal. Relimai has organized Trekking, Cycling, Skiing Trips, And Tours In India, Nepal And Bhutan. She also has the experience of working in corporate set-up in Gurgaon. She is very passionate and driven about her work. She is now looking forward to coming up with outdoor learning programs/an experiential learning centre that will help kids, youth and even adults to connect back with nature.
