Gopa Bezboruah has an online site named “Jetuka”, for handloom and handicraft from NE India.Jetuka is the hub of hand-picked exclusive collections of north eastern handicrafts and caters to the best and authentic handloom and handicrafts from around the north –east.Jetuka aims to target individuals who like indigenous fashion; a fine blend of culture and tradition with contemporary fashion. All products are hand crafted by extremely skilled local artisans and these products are completely eco-friendly. Further, they assure buyers for the finest quality of all products, packing and on time delivery. Their vision is to help and support the less privileged women from North-East India and craftsmanship of tribes.
Her business has already been registered in Guwahati. However, she had to take a sabbatical owing to the delivery of her child, but is very keen on resuming it at the earliest. She needs an operational strategy.

Gangmei Kungreiliu
Gangmei Kungreiliu is working on a business idea and wants to start her own business under the brand name “Natives Flavour”. Her idea is to set up a brand for indigenous food where pickles and other food items are branded and sold.

Esther Malika Sharma
Esther is a home-based baker and operates under the name “inspiredbypsalms”. Based out of Gangtok, Sikkim, Esther found herself tied up with family responsibilities and child-care after marriage. In an attempt to gain back her sense of agency and to add excitement in her otherwise daily routine, she started baking from home. To her surprise, her baking was highly endorsed by those who experienced it. She gained more outreach and customers eventually. At the moment, all her clients has been through word of mouth referrals.

Essille Heisnam
Essille, a make-up artist by profession, has plan to open a studio “The Artist in you: A gender free paradise” in Imphal, Manipur. She has 4 years of experience working with M.A.C as a professional makeup artist and retailer and director in Oriflame while living in Bangalore city. She recently relocated to Imphal due to COVID-19 and other reasons which she did not consider as a boon. Rather she had the chance to work on her lifelong plans of working on her business ideas.
Through her studio, she aim to stay true to its name since the main concern is for the transgender community and women in Manipur. She strives for equal representation in all spheres of work which is why the vision of the venture is to provide a platform that empowers the marginalized genders by creating identity through make-up skills. She envisions providing employment to women and transgender and to give them dignity and a sense of fulfilment.

Ella Mary
Ella Mary is working with two product line- One is in pulses/cereals and second one is Paper bag, both of which are being sold locally and have received good reception.For the cereals/pulses vertical, she has recently started her business of collecting surplus non-perishable agricultural produce from unorganized women farmers. These are paid in cash. She is in touch with almost 40 farmers from 3 districts for sourcing. She tries to ensure that marginal women farmers are able to sell their produce at good rates (even though the quantity is less) and to ensure that farmers get payment quickly in cash, without wasting time sitting in bazaars.
Since her business is seasonal, she wants help to make it a sustainable business model. She has applied for business registration, and plans to open a sales outlet in Kohima in 2021.

Dulley Yake
Dulley Yake is a part of an SHG and is from Arunachal Pradesh. With an aim to earn additional income that can support her family and financial needs esp., the education of her children, she takes up several livelihood based activities through the group to meet her ends.

Dr Shambhavi Samiralve
Dr. Shambhavi Samiralve is a mental health expert, with 10 + years of providing mental health support to people. She has a venture named “Uurja Manifest the Light Within”, which is a virtual holistic studio that caters to emotional needs of individuals. They are a team of professionals working towards the cause of mental health. Although emotional wellness is as important as physical health, mental health hygiene has been a matter of taboo for long and still does in some parts of the world. Moreover, emotional wounds are as inevitable as physical injuries. In an attempt to break the stigma attached to mental health issues, UMLW have taken an initiative to bring mental health services. The vision is to develop innovative solutions to improve mental and emotional health across the life course.
Her husband works with the air-force, and as a result she has to keep shifting her base. She moved to Guwahati. She has recently adopted a daughter. Her work and daughter takes up most of her time.

Dr Sayantani Bhattacharjee
Dr. Sayantani Bhattacharjee is a qualified doctor and has 15.5 years of experience of serving in rural and primary healthcare systems (like tea gardens). With an MBA in health care management, she is planning to set-up a diagnostic centre in Tangla (Assam), called “Better Life” where she would be providing health assistance to the local people. In terms of domain knowledge and experience, she has the required skills. She has even registered the business and identified a place where she would set up the business.

Sombala Ningthoujam
Dr. Sombala is a researcher who wants to build a platform for students to raise their doubts in regard to their career. The consultancy agency will bridge the gap between aspiration and competition in the youths of Manipur. She is a self-made woman who at her 40’s is a successful working mother. She cleared Manipur Civil Service back when her career had just started and she risked and let go of a well settled job and instead chose to pursue her passion of teaching and training.
She evolved from a researcher to a practitioner and also did her research on the topic aligning to the gap her proposed consultancy firm will be offering.

Dimpy Goswami Sharma
Dimpy had a salon named “His and Her” in Guwahati for the past two and a hald years. She had closed it temporarily in December 2019 but could not reopen it due to onset of pandemic. Prior to that, her salon was providing not only cosmetic but natural Ayurvedic as well as Chemical Treatments together. Her offering was also on beauty and wellness therapies at home,
Currently, she is establishing her salon from scratch and at the same time, she is working on ideation on permaculture though she still lacks the technical knowledge on the latter. She is dependent on her family for making various business decisions.
