About Seeding Grampreneur:
Dhriiti champions the call to Seed Grampreneurs in India, where we create enterprise based livelihood opportunities in India’s smallest and farthest districts. This is the time to seed village based enterprises, to create sustainable livelihood opportunities, to create home-based businesses that can create products that can be taken to the world.
Dhriiti believes this campaign Seeding Grampreneurs will enable various stakeholders to join hands to build a movement to support and push Village and Township Enterprises to trigger an inclusive growth process in the country’s rural landscape.
Why are we doing this?
At the beginning of the national lockdown we saw hundreds of migrants turn homeless, taking to the streets to walk home. The migrants of India are the most vulnerable. To change a migrant’s story we have to work backwards to tackle the root cause behind why someone leaves their home. The lack of employment and income generation is the prime reason why a villager becomes a migrant labourer. Grampreneurs are enterprising, resolute & progressive who use regional resources to create an enterprise that impacts the self & the community.
