Thungchangbeni runs a small studio ‘Achano photography studio’ in Dimapur, Nagaland. The Studio was started last year in 2019 where she does printing, framing, designing and does the photo shoots herself. She feels that she still has a long way to go in terms of its popularity. Unlike other popular and mainstream photo studios, Achano Photography is unique because it is the first one to be run by a woman and being a female photographer is another.
She wanted to do well in her career choice to prove that women can also do well and excel in unconventional career choices and businesses where there is less female peer support. She has a degree in photography, and has been freelancing since 2013 and there has been no looking back since then. It was her love for photography that made her take the risk of setting up a business in a very competitive space.She plans to lease her studio space for any kind of shoot for other photographers. Any students or upcoming photographers out there who need a studio space for a project can also avail the privilege by paying a certain amount. And she also wanted to conduct workshops whenever she can in days to come.
